I was hoping you guys could help, I know nothing about these Android phones. I did the update on my wife's phone, and now everything runs with a delay. Everything you try to open, like email, messaging, applications, even swiping to change screens is delayed like a second before it opens. Do you guys have any idea why this is happening or how to fix it?

Did you try turning the phone off and on again? I rarely get delays running froyo (Evo) but a reboot always fixes it.

Do you also have Advanced Task Killer app installed?
ATK is a waste of time and space 2.2 has a task killer built in. I am using 2.3 now and WOW what a difference

There are some very smart people in there, and they'll have any answer you need.
One thing you need to do is re-check some of your apps. The upgrade switched many of mine from manual updating to auto. My battery life went to crap the first day until I picked up on it. Now it's pretty much where it was before, although still slightly worse.
Was it an official Samsung update?
The issue with Android is that everyone puts their own bit of coding over the basic Android build so it's not universal.
It was an official update that was "Verizon-ized". Bloatware galore, like usual.Quote:
