I'm very annoyed. My father and I got the exact same android on the exact same day, had them activated at the same time, etc, about a month ago.
So yesterday morning, HE gets a message telling him the Droid is ready for a system upgrade. He DL's it, and boom, he's got the 2.2.
Meanwhile, I've gotten no such message. He doesn't even know what a damn app is, and now he's got 5 screens instead of 3 on his home page, among other things. What gives, where's my update?

I believe the carriers send it out in waves so the users don't overload the network. If you're that anxious go to your settings, and search for the update under System Updates. I have an EVO, so I would have to click on HTC software update. I'm guessing since you have a Droid, it would be Moto Software Update???
Oh, and BTW, Froyo is awesome!!!

Ugh, figured it was waves. Bleh.
I checked for a system upgrade, says "system up to date". You lie, android!

Last week. I believe Sprint was the first carrier to have it released.

I got my update for the Droid over the weekend. Seems cool enough so far. I'm sure I'm not using it to its capabilities though.
