Thread: Anyone have any experience with the Monster Powernet 200/300

Okay, I have a detached room from the rest of our house (similar to a detached garage) and want to get internet out there. I have tried a router, that is set up in the kitchen, however the walls provide too much interference due to the copper pipes, wires, etc. I saw this system and was wondering if anyone had experience with this system or one similar?

The reason why I am asking is because if this system works, I will move my video games outside and save my wife the hassle of them inside. Thanks

I don't know much about it, but it seems cool. I wouldn't mind giving that shot...

I did something similar at my house by running a standard Cat6 cable. Took me less than two hours to complete the whole job. I would imagine you would lose some bandwidth with that unit whereas the standard Ethernet cable will give you full throughput.

With a price tag like that, I would gamble and try it out.

Quix, here is the problem with lying the CAT 6 cable: I would have to tear up my backyard. Now with a dog, and a 2 year old, that is pretty much impossible.
