Audio w/ wall-mounted TV?

Does anyone wall-mount their big flatscreen TV .... and also use the built-in audio from that TV?

My 47" LCD currently sits on a fancy glass-n-metal TV stand, but there can be a hell of a resonance when low-frequency/bass comes over the soundtrack, and I am curious to know if that resonance problem is likely to improve or worsen if I go w/ a wall-mount.

Yea, I know some of you will ridicule me for even using the built-in audio instead of a seperate amp & X.1 speakers, but ..... that's the scheme I'm sticking with.

Ive done a bunch of wall mounted TVs, and I havent had a problems due to vibration. Make sure you can mount the TV into a stud if possible. If not, use at least 6 toggle bolts, and that would easily support the weight.

No probs with my wall mounted 52" Sony.

I got my 40" Samsung on the wall running the cables in the wall so the TV looks like it's floating. No sound problem other then i think the TV speakers are a bit weak so I'm looking to upgrade with a soundbar.

When buying a wall mount don't waste your cash on an expensive wall mount. Buy it from http://www.monoprice.com/

You won't be dissapointed. I got a swivel wall mount for the Samsung and a piviting wall mount for the Vizio in our bedroom for about $90.00. My buddy, who helped me with the install and has done quite a few, said it was some of the best hardware he's worked with.

I picked up a Pivoting bracket from Home Depot for $50. It is rated for 38"-50" TV but the weight on my 52" Sony fell 15 lbs below the brackets rated weight so I bought it. Couple Lag bolts into some studs and Voila. 14 months on the wall with no probs.

I do however get a little vibration on the otherside of the wall. There's a bathroom. Not a biggie though.

My wife and I were iffy about going into the wall and stuff, so we bought the Loop Media Center and Panel from Crate and Barrel. They have a space for the cables to go built into the panel, and you can mount onto the panel as well with a bracket and ours works great. We bought the bracket at Costco for like 79 bucks and have not had a problem.

I am looking to add the Polk Surround Bar to our TV so I do not know how well it will work.
