This why I prefer UNLOCKED devices. They do cost more up front I can get full data services for 10 a month. I pay more for the phone but its cheaper per month and I break even after about a year. You also get free navigator Wi-fi and lots of other features that most carriers charge extra for

Hmmmm, I have seen that about the unlocked phones being much higher. Grrrrr why oh why do cell phone companies have to rape you. I hope the FCC investigations about the ETF's and such bring up great findings and make the companies lower the ETF's and rates

Just got my droid x this morning. Getting it all set up and charged. So far, so good. I like it. The OS is easy to use and navigate. Pretty nice options for customizing as well. Only issue that I had so far was getting my google email account joined with it. That, for some reason, was a hassle.

I got a Droid X today as well. I really like the large screen. Now to decide which one to keep, DINC or DX.........

Oh I think mine was user error. I don't think it was a phone or gmail thing. Just make sure your account is set up how you want it to be beforehand is all.

Tips? Play around with it. Learn about how it functions. Before you start downloading everything, think of how you want things organized and arranged. Test out the calling and the email/texting. Get familiar with it mostly. Also, swype isn't turned on by default. You'll have to do it manually if you want to. Having said that, the keyboard in landscape mode is fantastic.

Do I need a Droid X? Can I get on the LGK shoutbox or leave messages on the forums here with it?
