Took mine off the charger for the first time around 4 PM. Been using it pretty heavily since. Downloading and playing with apps, messing with contacts. The battery just went to red (probably around 10% left).

Haven't used the navigation yet, but when I used VZW Navigator on my LG Dare, that used to kill the battery quickly.

Question #2, does everybody have the ATK Task Killer and NFL apps pre installed? For some reason I am missing both of those apps. I heard they were supposed to be installed with the phone.

Neither one of those were pre-installed for me.

I've been playing with my X since 4 and I still have nearly a full battery. I haven't messed too much with the internet or navigation though.

I came from an older LG Dare, so this thing has quiet the learning curve. Just the screen is bigger than my old phone. Simply amazing...

I'm coming from the Dare too. This thing makes the dare look like it's from 1990.

Dunno It's been like that since i joined Verizon. I've heard they recently changed it, but those that we're getting $100 NE2 were grandfathered and left at $100, while others saw discounts between $25-50 or something like that.

The Samsung Galaxy X under some other codename is being released at all 4 carriers this week. TMO already has it under the Vibrant name It will be the Captivate for ATT, release on Sunday. Good phone but like an older iPhone with a better display

I don't want the Droid, my wife does. She doesn't want anything to do with a touch screen keyboard. She wants a physical one. I keep trying to explain to her that the X has a bigger screen, making the keyboard more usable, but she's having none of it.

Maybe she'll change her mind when she messes with it a little.

If I'm not mistaken I think the Droid 2 will have the slide out keyboard. So hopefully she can wait until August especially since the Droid has been listed as EOL (End of Life) by Verizon.

My wife was like that at first when I got the EVO and she got my Hero. I downloaded "better keyboard" and now she has no problem with it.

Well it means waiting a few more days. I'm eligable for NE2 8/12 and Droid 2 is suppose to come 8/23 so we'll see.

Lets hope the D2 can 1 up the EVO, because the X sure didn't.
