I know I've struggled w/ this since the iPhone arrived on the scene and decided it was time to bite the bullet and join the 2010's. I do get a 22% discount on my plan from work.

I am NOT a fan of Zagg on screens because it feels too slick for my tastes. I prefer a simple anti-glare from Incipio.
Consider a cell phone case and/or car charger as your must have accessories. The cable that you connect to an AC adaptor will more than likely work to connect to a computer.
In terms of syncing music off iTunes to non-Apple phones, doubleTwist is your friend! The app store (Market for Android) isn't as cleaned up as iTunes app store, so you will usually find a lot of random apps in searchs, but the main ones that everyone wants and uses are often found in an Android flavor. Keep in mind that you have 24 hours to try paid apps, which is a glaring omission in the iTunes app store.
I always buy my screen protectors from Boxwave. They have clear and anti glare protectors. I have found those to be the best.
Hit up BEST BUY for their clearance invisishields Make sure its big enough for your screen and cut to size. Usually 5-10 dollars
Droid arrived today! I wasn't home yesterday to sign for it Doh! Anyway just getting it set up so I will give a more detailed report in a few days.
Any must have Apps to I need to get?
Once again thanks to all my LGK brethren for your help!
...still waiting for the Evo to come out. I've been waiting for months now to ditch my BB. Hopefully the 4G plans won't be too expensive, Sprint is typically cheaper than most. I only pay 52 a month after taxes now for unlimited everything. If it's outrageous I'll get the CDMA Nexus One, but I want that Evo!
Regarding iPhone's being better due to the number of apps, it's nice to have choice but that's overkill. Android has 50k apps and that's more than enough. It's all about the phone's ability now.

First tip that may come in handy: press anywhere on your home screen and an option screen to display widgets, shortcuts, and folders will appear. Learn to love and use these features.
Also, keep in mind that some apps that you download only work as widgets, so it won't appear on the screen as a shortcut but rather as a functional widget.
Enjoy the phone! Welcome to Android!
