Now JW are you talking the DROID phone or the HTC Incredible that runs Android 2.1? I played around with it today at the Verizon store and am looking at it. The only thing I do not like is how smudgy it gets pretty quick
I got the Incredible.
Avoid-
Pre Plus. Palm OS is old and outdated
Devour is a cool device and probably the most durable at VZW. Small screen and not the fastest processor.
iPhone nice but why wait when you can get bigger better faster NOW.
Go with the Android O/S whether its 1.6,2.0 or 2.1 is not that important all are better than any other O/S currently available. STAY AWAY FROM 1.5 though
BTW- Blackberry will have a new OS out soon 6.0, not sure when
I would definitely go for 2.1 since it seems that 1.6 is becoming outdated for the OS of the Android phones. Still have not found the damn phone, so I may be picking up the Incredible or Droid this weekend. Goddamn leaving the phone on vibrate when I got home from work.
Sp read the whole thread most of your answers will be there.
JW, I have read it, I am looking just for more opinions. You know I am a glutton for punishment
Kinda OT with this one, if I get a phone and transfer my service to it, does that count as a new phone, and will I need to get a new contract with that, or can I just keep going on my present contract? I was just given an old Blackberry Curve (for Verizon) and was going to use that until I find my old phone or get a new one and such??
