BlackBerry or DROID? {The Unofficial DROID Thread}
I'm on Verizon, need a new phone so I can't wait 'til maybe the iPhone will be here by the end of the year.
I'm reading reviews on the Verizon site but I'm here to get the opinion of my trusted LGK techies.
I'm on a Mac so if you know which one is more user friendly for that OS it will be appreciated to know. Can I use iTunes on either phone?
Does anyone know if I need a plan to have the wifi enabled?
Please discuss.

Anything Droid is a year or so better technology than anything Blackberry or Iphone. My wife and I both have HTC's and we swear by them.

those being the choices the HTC by far. HOWEVER there are alot of new Android devices hitting the street in the near future, JUNE. Take a look at the HTC DESIRE. It is a beast di not settle for any processor below the 1Ghz Snapdragon

NO the TouchPro 2 which was just released by T Mobile is the same as the EVO at Sprint. The only drawback to the TP2 is the OS is Window 6.5, so it freezes up alot

Wait a month or two, JW. Nexus One and other Android based phones are coming out soon.
The Droid is a big improvement over the Eris.

SirJW, I have a Storm, it has been a great phone for me since I have had it! However, I am due for an upgrade in May and will be getting an Android phone. I am torn between the HTC and Motorola. They both pretty much do the same thing, but the Motorola has the 2.1 software on it and the HTC has the 1.5 software. Once the iPhone comes to Verizon I may, MAY, upgrade to it. If the Android phones perform as I hear they do, I will not need to upgrade to an iPhone....the Android phones are the ish!!!! Hope that helps you!
Go KINGS!
Also, you have 30 days to try out a phone.

WHATEVER you do, DO NOT get android 1.5. DO NOT!! Get at least 1.6. 1.5 is NOT upgradable and you cannot get apps from the google market. You are limited to Moto blur or Verizon apps
