Thread: Cell Phone Advice

So I'm eligible for my "new every two" phone and I'm looking at what to get. Ideally, I'd like to get the Blackberry Pearl, but the phone isn't supported by Verizon. I hear mostly bad things about the Motorola Q, and I'm not sure I want to go all the way up to the Blackberry 8830 or Treo. Anyone got any suggestions?

I'd like a phone with a "qwerty" keypad that I can do some emailing and internet surfing on.

I have the LG enV and it kicks ass. Love the thing, and I have never been a texting type of person, but this makes it much easier. PLus it has a spot for Micro sD cards, and a 2 megapixel camera

hes here and reading but. Why should I do all the work just so some other salesperson can get the commission?

I'll second this. When I initially saw it, I didn't think I'd like it. My Wife got one and I played around with it and loved it. I got one of my own a few days later.

Texting is sooooo much easier with the keypad along with the shift and symbol keys.

I highly recommend.

I'll be honest guys, if we're not throwing each other business, especially when we can, then we're doing something wrong.

Go to Glendora. Go to the store. Buy a phone. Get a bluetooth headset while you're at it.

Thanks to those that offered opinions. I'm not a fan of the size of the enV (its a bit thick), but I'll still consider it after the positive comments.

I wasn't asking for any in depth analysis on which phone to get, just seeing if anyone had something to recommend. I agree that we should help each other out when we can, but driving an hour to buy a cell phone is a bit much.

The Pearl 8130 is coming out for Verizon late October/early November. Wait for it.....sans GPS, of course.
