I noticed that there are a bunch of new Video on Demand channels on the high numbers on DirecTV. I tried it and was able to download MTV clips and concerts and even Versus condensed (10 minute) hockey game segments. It's kind of slow but there is already a lot of content.

Oh, what channels?
Gotta hook the receiver up to the Internet, and DirecTV will activate the service once it "sees" yor receiver online - usually within 24 hours. Almost all of the programming is free, and it takes about 5 minutes to download 30 minutes of shows (they throttle it a bit so your entire internet connection isn't zapped while it's doing its download thing).
Look at channels 1200-1500-- for these on demand channels. Go to channel 1000 for an overview channel.

The ethernet connection on the back of the receiver needs to be hooked up to your internet source - usually folks have a multi-port router they can hook it up to. If you have wireless in your home you can use an Ethernet to wireless bridge to connect it wirelessly.Quote:

There is no Wireless N ethernet to wireless bridge yet that I am aware of.
