    Default Doublemyspeed.com

Was interested if anyone has used this. My PC is about 4 years old and is seriously starting to bog down. I have done all the "normal" procedures with virus protection, malware and spyware. I keep hearing the commercials on the radio for Doublemyspeed and ran the initial scan and came up with 637 "errors". Anyone done this? What were the results? Just trying to extend the life of my PC.

This sounds like a virus. You could see what your speed is from your ISP, try adding ram, and going from there. Problem is 7 out of 10 times on an old computer it's a slow processor and it's much easier to buy a new desktop with an i3 or higher than spend money in a new dual core that may be able to go in if your lucky. Hopefully this helped!

It might be best to save all your data, reformat the hard drive and then only install the programs you want on the computer.

check for malwares and keep and eye on your task manager for anything stealing your CPU's power.

That's interesting. I have looked at the task mamnger but, I'm not really sure what to look for. Maybe I'll look at it again this weekend.

Still might try the Doublemyspeed. Only 30 bucks. If it can get me through, than it will be money well spent.

    scam:

try the Malicious Software Removal Tool
    and
    Windows Defender
    and
    Comodo internet security (firewall\anti-virus)

    all tools are free.

The Malicious Software Removal Tool runs once and then deletes itself.
Windows Defender and Comodo run in the background to take care of your computer.

Reading that is just making me even more excited to get my Macbook Pro. I've used a pc my whole life and get irritated with it sometimes.
