Drive D
I have an HP laptop that is really having issues at the moment. It is so slow that downloading anything takes forever! I checked D drive (back up) and it is almost full. I have an exterior back up and I was wondering if there is some way to clear D. Or will I have to take it to Best Buy for total cleaning? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually with HP drive D is a partition on the main drive reserved for Windows System Restore. It will set your computer back to factory install. You do not want to clear that drive. Typically it is a pretty small allocation (8 GB) of the main drive.

How do you have your backup schedule configured? Are you backing up every day? week? Month? year?

What Operating System is installed? how big are your partitions (C:, D:) and how much free space on the drives is left?
There are a number of free utilities that you can use to clean up your system rather than taking it to Best buy and get charged $50 for them to work on your computer, and get the same effect.
