A moment of silence please.... My Metz 54MZ-3 Flash has given up the ghost. My wife tried using it and told me it didn't work. She asked me "what is that triangle with an exclamation point?" I checked it out, and it is leaking a brownish goo - almost certainly a leaky capacitor.
You have served me (and others before me) well, my friend. RIP.
Hmmm...Count the black glass with the gold rings, folks! ;) Looks to be a pretty even split between Canon gear and Nikon in that image. Remember when all you'd ever see were gray lenses in photo pits?
Oh...and how badly do the guys with no vests stick out!?!? So funny!
How about the dude with the yellow hat and the point-and-click. Who did he ****?

Thanks. That was kinda the idea, actually. I've had about a dozen people who have seen the Dodger Stadium image tell me they want one like it of Yankee Stadium, so they pretty much had to be similar. Hopefully, all the people who promised to buy images of YS will keep their promises! If so, I've already got more of YS sold than of DS. Anyhow, I'm hoping to do similar shots at as many major league ballparks as I can. I'm going to try and get down to the Big A in the next couple weeks to knock that one off.
At Fenway Park it was impossible to create a similar image because the highest level of seats are restricted access (corporate boxes) and above that is the press box. Of course, I couldn't get up there so the shot of Fenway was taken from my seat, actually. Turned out to be a good thing because of the sun setting behind the third-base-line seats. I think the image still gives a great feel of the ballpark. Seeing as the press box is such a prominent feature, I'm glad it's included in the photograph along with the Green Monster.
Anyhow, the test prints should be back by the end of the week. If those turn out satisfactorily, I'll be taking orders for both of them.
Wow, this will be a fantastic series if you get all of them. I would make one suggestion though, it might be my screen, but I might desaturate some of the beantowners closest to camera. As it is, I think they distract a bit and draw your eye away from the field.
Those are beautiful shots, and even though I don't really like baseball, they make me want to watch a game. The sunset at Fenway is fantastic.
A cool pano from in the Bird's Nest photo box:
Beijing Olympics Stadium: about 30 min. before Men's 100m Final
Great stuff Glenn.
