I would be all for a "photo safari" as it were, but I have to say, I am hesitant about something like crashing a wedding. I don't want to be the guy that cost some poor bride $8K and the prints from the photog that she has hoped and dreamed of getting since she was proposed to.

I perhaps am more lame than most, but if it were things like the LA river, Mt. Baldy, a Kings practice, or the Derby Dolls where we could all try and get in RinkRat's shot, that would be great

I'm prolly even lamer than lame because I not only agree with VF, I still like the challenge concept. Weddings don't do much for me, and I certainly wouldn't want to ruin someone's special day. Doing a designated sports event, festival, parade or just a "day in LA" kind of thing might be fun.

I definitely agree with FBJ that the challenges (and this thread) have served its purpose well. There has been a lot of photo skill developed around here. Especially when you look at what FBJ, RR and a few others have been doing lately. Nice work!

I was only somewhat serious about doing one of the activities in the post I made above. Take a guess at which two weren't the serious one.

Come on you guys, join the flickr pool and start dumping your best stuff in there. It should be a great collection and I can tell you from experience that it's a great way to get your name out there. (Actually if you read way back, FBJ clued us into this a long time ago)

The key to getting things seen on Flickr is extensive tagging and titling your pictures. I'm very lazy, so my list of tags is very short on most of my images.

And damn...what's with the five pics per day limit? :P

Isn't five plenty? That way it keeps the quality high. Some groups have a limit of one per week!

I gotta spend more time tagging.

One thing I hope the LGK Flickr group doesn't cause is this thread to be utilized less.

I think we can keep the talk here and the photos there. It makes it easy to share them without worrying about hosting. Plus, with the 5 a day limit, we can add several a day and not feel like we are bombarding the conversation.
