FYI, I finally got my new Nikon D800 from B&H last week, 42 days after it was released (and I ordered it during the first hour it went on sale). I have to say it is pretty awesome. It is definitely not a sports camera since it only does 4 frames per second, but the image quality is amazing. It's also pretty complex with lots of pro features, so it's not really the best thing for family snapshots. What it is is a photo enthusiasts dream. It's a camera that challenges you to be a better photographer. It reminds me of when I used to shoot medium format film. You had to work a little harder to get the right image, but the results were always worth the effort.

I've been so busy with life, kids and work that I kind of lost my passion for photography lately. This camera has gotten me excited again.

i'm buying a film scanner this weekend and i'll be using my bessa rangefinder as my "full frame" sensor camera

Here's a couple I took at the Petersen Auto Museum out on museum row. This exhibit was based on coachbuilders and manufacturers in Italy from the 30's on and how their designs inspired modern day cars, even supercars.
