I hate in ear headphones. I've tried them all and even owned the Shures till my dog ate them. I never wore them though because these over the ear ones KICK ASS and have great BASS!
These are the best headphones for iPods, bar none..

how are the sennheisser px200's? they look like a closed model of the px100. i want to be able to use them at the library, so maybe a closed model is better? i already have a pair of grado sr60's so i'm not sure if i need another open model. what do you guys think?

If over the ear cans are now in the picture, I know a lot of people won't agree with me, but if you want to hear every detail of the music, as it was recorded, Sony MDR-7506, game, set, match. There is a reason they are studio monitors around the world. They are a bit more than you want to spend though. A lot of people don't like them because they can be very harsh with poorly recorded music, but I find they are very faithful.
