At that resolution, you are better off with a regular DVD. I saw one for sale on newegg or amazon for like $25 with rebate not too long ago (Blue-Ray) and dvd for $20.
I still can't stand that I can't play Blu-Ray on Linux...
I already have one...but I have a growing pile of Blus that I can only watch at home so...
