Favorite Mobile Apps as of 2013?
I know at one point there was a old App thread buried in this forum from quite a while back (+4 years?) but I cant seem to find it. So being things generally change and become obsolete so quickly these days, I figured a new app thread would be in order. I'm a Android ICS user on both my phone and Tabs.
Now that we're around 5 years into the Smartphone Revolution (Palm Treo's and Pre's don't really count, seriously), what are your most used apps at this point? Mine are listed below in the frequency I use them and a brief "why". 1 being the most:
1) Sirius/XM Channel 207, NHL Network- I listen to it from 7am est all the way until they start the War Room replay at 2pm est. Once they do that, I move to:
2) IHEARTRADIO- Island 98.5 (Hawaiian/Reggae/Jawaiian) until I leave work. The Morning Crew there is thee Funniest group of 'clean humor' dudes on the radio. If you are are easily offended by people making fun of EVERYONE's ethnicity (Hawaiian thing) and cant understand Pigeon English, don't bother.
3) Weather Bug Elite- Not very accurate with the current temps and stuff but has one of the best day-to-day radar interfaces out there. If I'm out in the ocean on the boat though, I switch to NavPro.
4)Starbucks- I have a Starbucks 100 yards from my office and visit it 2 times a day so this app is a no-brainer. You can "load" and "reload" the app with $$. It keeps track of your "stars" which are reward points that accrue and add up to free coffee drinks. I'm a Gold Member now about 20 times over and get at least 1 voucher a month for a free Java of my choice.
5)Key Ring- Do yourself a favor and take all those stupid ass Reward Cards that physically destroy your wallet and look dumb on your key chain and scan them into this app!!! Once you're in the system, you get daily coupons and specials that you wont normally see. Just yesterday, I got a alert from a local Grocery store named "Farmers Market" saying they were having a 3 hour sale starting at 12 noon on Snow Crab legs. So after work, I swung by there, flashed the coupon on my phone and bought 15 pounds of AA grade (Top Grade) for $4.99 a POUND!. That is $4.00 off the regular and posted cost. *BOMB*. Get this app if you do any kind of shopping...food, clothes, anything. Its Free.
I'll post more later...

I used to have a Key Ring app on my previous phone, but because I had one of those Zagg screen protectors, no store was ever able to scan my phone properly. :/
Google Now - By far, my favorite app ever since my phone got the Jelly Bean update. Keeps me up to date on traffic going home, and going to work. It does a ton more, but the fact that updates traffic on MY specifc route is just awesome. Also, the voice recognition is much improved, and I love the voice feedback.
Neftflix- Does this really need to be explained?
Pinterest - Only recently added this, but it's really inspired me to start cooking more.
Angry Birds Star Wars
Jetpack Joyride
Double Twist - Best Music app for Android. IMO, the best feature is being able to change songs from the lockscreen by swiping your finger.
Google Sky Map - This has always been a favorite. It's a great way to teach kids, and adults, about the stars and planets.
LetsGoKings - If you don't have this on any of your devices, well then you suck at life

Does anyone know of a good and hopefully free business card scanner? I've got to start consolidating all the cards I have. I've reached max density and Im finding them everywhere I turn now. Seriously, I must have a dozen stacks with 1000 per stack. Ive got to go through each stack and figure out who I need to keep and who I should toss. If I do that, I might as well scan the ones I keep and put them in a app. If i need to pay a couple bones for a better app, I will. Thanks.
