FiOS TV + Internet? Deals???
Just recently got out of Dish Network and am looking for some new TV/Internet service.
I'll be moving to Lakewood (from Long Beach). I priced out a plan from FiOS which will be about $120 per month. Before I was paying about $150 with both Dish and Charter (cable internet).
This FiOS offer looks good so far. PrimeHD service with 15/5mbps internet speeds. HD DVR in main room...and regular HD box in bedroom.
Does anyone have any gripes about this service or any suggestions on any other deals out there? I have not signed on the dotted line yet and would like to do some comparisons.
One thing I DID like about Dish...is that I didn't need another box for the bedroom television. It communicated through the remote to the main box for all control.
Any help would be extremely helpful.

I currently have their Extreme HD TV and 25/25 Internet option and I am willing to pay the premium because I've been able to have friends come over and all of us try to max out the usage for the internet and no issues at all. Plus I like the niche channels so it offers everything I can ask for.

I recently reupped with FioS for my internet, tv and phone.
I went with the Ultimate HD Package with the 35/35 tier. I should see a slight reduction in my bill (haven't seen one with the new package yet).
I have had FiOS for over a year now, and it has been rock solid for me.
The Pros -
Hell, 35/35 internet connection.
Has been 100% reliable. No outages to report.
I haven't had a problem with customer service when I have had to call CS for minor issues (others may have).
Picture Quality exceeds Time Warner.
The peer to peer support forums are valuable, just not as valuable as the FiOS DSLReports board.
The guide sucks. There are times when it is wrong. This is because VZ chose FYI for their provider.
DVR Space is limited. Currently, they are still shipping the Motorola boxes with 160GB HDD (20 hours HD recording) with no external support. I have heard they are going to be deploying new Cisco boxes with 320GB internal and external support, but noting has been confirmed.
Verizon's communications are weak, at best. There usually isn't an announcement of an upcoming IMG update, or when new features or channels are coming. They tell you AFTER the fact in the messages on the STB.
The FiOS TV Central website is okay, at best.
The Media Manager software is a waste of time and a resource hog. Don't use it.
There is a new $360 (prorated at $15/mo) ETF, which takes effect 15 days after installation, so be sure to use the service in those 15 days. The only time you won't be dinged after the 15 days is if you move to where FiOS isn't offered.

Verizon has 6 tiers of speed versus price:

How do I measure my present (cable or DSL) internet speed so I can compare ($$$ per bits/sec)?
