Just signed up and I have a question regarding incoming tweets via text message. When a tweet comes in, I only get the first part of it followed by a ... Is there a setting that I am missing? I have a limited plan right now concerning the web but unlimited text. So I would like to receive the full tweets via text and not through email or going to my twitter account from my phone.
I think the texts are limited to a certain number of characters so longer tweets get cut off
I think text are limited to 140 just like text are. The tweets I get are usually one sentence long, two tops, but they are incomplete as well.
Yes, depending on what phone service you have, texts are limited from 140 to 160 characters. Factor in whatever extra stuff you get in the message like a username or "Direct message from."
I never had Twitter texts sent to my phone, but that's my best guess.
