Default Free WiFi - Panera Bread

There has been a lot of discussion about wireless internet/WiFi/Air cards lately.

Personally I go to Panera Bread to get work done. They are one of the few places that has free WiFi, they have electric outlets near almost every table, really good food and they promote that they want you to stay as long as you want. Sometimes I only buy a cup of coffee and stay for hours. I think that they are the Starbucks of sandwich shops. And did I mention the WiFi is FREE.

Yup. I've used the Rancho Cucamonga location & the District Location right outside the Green Valley Rach Hotel in Vegas/Henderson. Excellent food!

you bastard!!! you gave up the secret too easily!!! That place is awesome. In addition to getting work done for a few hours you dont have to leave to eat because their food is great. If you're anything like me my life revolves around what im going to eat for my next meal so going to panera allows me to forget for a little while.

I've sat at the Fullerton one for at least 90 minutes once. Great in between classes. Only problem is it is only two blocks away from Cal State Fullerton so it's busy all the time.

Just a warning about anyone who uses the free wifi for banking and other sites that require user id's and passwords. Since the wifi access does not require a WEP or WPA key anyone with a simple software may be able to pull your data through the wifi connection.

The tables at Panera are always full of people on their laptops. Great for them, but sucks when you are trying to find a place to sit to eat. I wish people would sit in those one-person chairs instead of taking up whole booths.

I agree. It does sometmes get crowded. I use a round table for two. I usually go to the location in Studio City or Valencia. Studio City gets crowded at lunch but other than that it is prettty easy to get a table. They also have signs up asking that us laptop users not take up too much time when it is crowded. I know that if it starts getting crowded I start to feel uncomfortable and if seats are mostly filled I will leave.
