Saw this on Droid Life.
We have heard from a number of readers this morning who received the Gingerbread (Android 2.3.4) update for the DROID Incredible. HTC told us September and there were a few reports of users receiving it over the weekend, but it looks like the mass rollout has started this morning. Head on into Settings>Software update/About phone and check to see!
Cheers Ironclad131, Andy, and Mike!

Checked my Incredible, says the phone is up to date on software, though it is still running 2.2 ...WTF!!!!!

The update to Gingerbread completely erased the SD card on my wife's Incredible - no warning. She had to reinstall every app that had been moved to the SD card. Other than that, seems to be working so far.

I have version 2.3.4 what ever the name is.
Ever since my last update it keeps telling me I need more space to get messages.
I cleared all my pix, deleted a lot of unused apps and moved as many apps as I can to the SD card but it still tells me I need more space.

That happened a couple times with my DroidX, unfortunately the only way i could get that fixed was a factory reset. Tried downloading an album on amazon mp3 and it failed because it said i had no room, even though i had 6 gigs free.
