    Default Google anti vrus in google Pack

    I was checking out the Google Pack yesterday and wondering if anyone uses it. Especially the spyware/anti virus. My anti virus (trend micro PC cillin) ran out recently and have procrastinated on renewing and have noticed my PC slowing down a bit. Before I shell out the sixty bones to renew my current protection, I would like to hear any feedback on this product. If it's free, does it make it less dependable?

    if you want to try another free one, just use AVGfree.com. just dodge all the pay for and upgrade buttons.

    Avast is another good, free virus protection program that updates automatically sometimes 2-3 times a day

    Other free programs that are good to invest in are Ad-aware (Lavasoft) and Spybot Search & Destroy (Grisoft), both very good spyware detection programs.

    AdAware and Spybot aren't nearly as good as they use to be. I would suggest avoiding them and using either Malwarebytes Antimalware or Superantispyware.

    The Google software will report back to home base, so if the idea of Big Brother bothers you, don't use it.
    at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.
