Google / Apple / Roku TV?
Do I need it?
I'm very happy with my DirecTV, and usually behind on my DVR.
What am I missing?

If you have a Smart TV then I'm not sure what you're missing (at least for Roku). My LG LED tv has netflix and amazon so I'm not missing much. Hope that helps.

Roku and Apple TV do the same thing with Roku being considerably cheaper. Trying to figure out if its something I need as well.
Any one use ROKU ?

I'd say it's worth it if you don't already have cable. Of course, you'd have to pay your monthly subscriptions for those channels that require it like Netflix and Hulu Plus. I don't have any cable or satelite service at home, so I'm thinking of picking up a Roku for my son's room. We do have Netflix, and that provides tons of programs for my kids to keep entertained.
