Google TV question.
This question goes to all the Google TV owners.
For a couple of years now, I've been using my old Mac Mini (Intel model) on my 52" LCD TV. The connection is made with a DVI to component and mini audio jack to rca adapter to a single input of the TV. This gives me the ability to have a/v on one input of the TV. It's been okay so far, but the best resolution I can get out of this is 480. That makes the icons kind of blurry and obviously does not take advantage of the full 1080p my TV supports. The Mac does not have an HDMI out port, obviously. All I have is DVI.
I've looked at Apple TV as an option, but the fact that it has no support for Flash is quite annoying. I like to stream some hockey and fulbol games from "some sites" and that won't work for me. From reading some stuff online, it looks like Google TV supports Flash.
My question is, how's Google TV treating you? How's the performance with Flash in particular? I don't know too many people who own Google TV and am a little reluctant trusting the Google fanboys on review sites.
PS. I'm aiming for the Logitech Revue: Logitech Revue
Edit: PLEASE, let's not make this an Apple vs. Google flame war! :)
Have you tried Skyfire - Mobile Browser and Mobile Video Optimization on AppleTV to get flash sites like some are doing on the iPad and iPhone?
That's kind of pending at the moment. Since AirPlay hasn't been introduced to the public, the only way to get that to work is if the Skyfire developers add AirPlay functionality to it in the future. Even then, Skyfire does not seem to load all flash videos out there. The app cannot be simply installed on ATV as of right now.
