Does he need a smaller wireless guitar? He's a normal sized 5-year-old, maybe a little on the big side, but I don't know how big the controllers are.

Maybe I just want to justify getting this game for me, but it sounds fun for the kids too. I also have a 7-year-old, so I'd probably get the second controller.

Also, I'm not sure how bad the lyrics are, so any input you have is greatly appreciated!
Here's video of a 5 year old destroying Surrender on Hard mode.

    Your kid should be fine.

As far as the language goes, most of the song lyrics are heavily edited but the game does still have a Teen rating. You can find a complete set list for Guitar Hero 2 here:

Hey all you GH freaks. Have you heard the lastest from Harmonix?

I cannot wait, game is called "Rock Band"..and it is just that multi-player with a band. Singer, drummer, lead guitar and bass. It is only going to be released on the next gen consoles.

Here is the link, I cannot wait:

    Wiki on it:

    Help!

I'm on Expert and I'm stuck on Psychobilly Freakout. How the **** do I beat this song? This takes the difficulty to a whole new disgusting level and I'm not sure that I like it.

Well, if you're stuck there, give Jordan a ride on expert (it's a song you buy in the store). You'll feel better playing a song that's easy to beat. I haven't played much lately (been playing too much Gears), but I picked it up again yesterday and I'm stuck on Madhouse myself...

I'm thinking about getting this game for Xbox 360 but that clunking sound when you "strike the chords" is really annoying. Is this something you find only on the PS2 version controllers or is an issue with the 360 as well?

Damn I'm jealous... we got it on Sunday, and my 5- and 7-year-olds are playing it the whole time. Anytime I want to play, my 5 y/o wants me to play the frets for him while he practices his strumming timing. I just have to get them in that practice area and slow it down, but I haven't had much time to play, and my left hand starts to cramp after a couple songs. Oh, and my wife is REALLY getting sick of Surrender...

All that said, it's a blast to rock to Shout at the Devil, Mother, Woman, etc., and I finally got around to Message in a Bottle last night. All still on "easy", but man is that addictive. My wife and kids are gone for a good part of August, so if I can convince them to leave them game I'll be in good shape...

Haven't noticed... just click it with your thumb and crank up the stereo and you won't notice.

Go to Best Buy and try out the demo. Listen for yourself because that clicking and clacking can get loud at times.

I only played it once, I was at a friends and rocked out on the GH2 , I cleared the medium level in the 90% average but add that extra button on hard and my pinky is toast. Damn vestigial appendages pwning me!
I try and do up and down strokes by holding the bar of the strumming button to avoid that clacking. I can seem to be able to keep up better that way on hard.
