Guitar Hero II

This is a question for anyone who has played GH 2, I've played GH 1 a grand total of 5 minutes in my life and I liked but I'm wondering, is GH 2 worth the 90 dollar price tag that it's carrying for the Xbox 360 version of the game?

PS: They're making a Guitar Heroes 80's edition, but I don't know if that's for both the 360 and PS2 (probably) or just the PS2.


Edit: Wikipedia says yes to both a 360 and PS2 version of the GH 80s. And GH3 will likely be the same if they're actually already developing it.

I think the main selling point for me is the Downloadable Content. I only own a 360 at this time so my only option is shelling out the 90 bucks.

It's a fun game and most people are willing to try it. You don't make quite as much of an ass out of yourself as you do playing DDR.

Makes me wish some of these songs would be released in some sort of booster disc for the PS2 version as well. And if its true that they plan to release all of the Guitar Hero 1 songs then there's no reason to have the PS2 version at all. Hell, when Resident Evil 5 comes out I'll have to break down and buy a 360 and have to end up with another copy of Guitar Hero as well.

If you do end up buying a 360 I'd wait at least another 2 months becuase there are rumors that they are coming out with an Elite 360 which comes with a 120 HDD, HDMI port and HDMI cable. 3 things the current 360's lack. All at a $479 price tag. Which is still cheaper than the PS3.

Laid to Rest is my favorite

I hate this game. It has stolen my husband away from me. The two player play as a team mode is pretty cool though.

I've been waiting for this to come out on 360 for a while(no PS2) and play some Danzig.

Xbox 360 Elite may be a hoax. All magazines claiming its existence come out in APRIL and video game people are notorious for staging April Fools Days pranks

A hoax has to be somewhat believable. Those two examples are most definitely not reasonable. The Elite 360 is. I don't think it's true.

On a similar note, does anyone have any idea when the 360 will drop its price? I want to get the premium package, but am waiting for a price-drop of around 100$
