Thread: Guitar Hero III is out today

Should be interesting to play along with the original artists.

I saw them at Target this afternoon. The shelves were completely full of XBOX and PS versions. The Wii version was completely sold out.

I got mine! I love it!

Torrance and Carson have Wii and PS2, but no 360, PS3.

Wife (god love her) tried to surprise me and got the PS2 version by mistake. Went to exchange it and they were out of the 360

I heard Metallica-One song is gonna be on it. I can't wait until I play that song.

I played the Xbox 360 and Wii versions at E for All. Couldn't really figure out how the Wii version worked, since the PS2 and X360 guitars have buttons that are mapped to the buttons on a controller. You have to plug the Wii Remote into the Wii guitar, but the infrared thing points up the neck at the buttons. Probably just an infrared thing.

The response time seemed just as decent as the X360 version. I have a PS2 guitar at home, but my PS2 took a dive. Still not sure if I'll buy the X360 or Wii version. I want to get "Rock Band" also, for the drums. If that's coming out on Wii, I'll probably buy the Wii version of GH3 so I can have the extra guitar.

What an odd day to be released. I figured it wasn't coming out until tuesday. Guess I need to go pick it up today.

My roomate nearly crapped himself when he saw that was on there. That's a real fun song to play.

It's a fun game, a bit harder than the last couple. I walked in on my roomate playing on Medium and couldn't believe that it wasn't on Hard. The face-offs with the bosses are cool too, they're a fun addition. Besides that, nothing really new or spectacular. But fun as hell.

The game is great. It was nice to beat Tom Morello yesterday. (the closest that I'll ever get) Like the songs and the wireless Les Paul.

Need more metal !!!
