Help with Directv Issues
I'm seriously confused about DTV. I was not able to DVR the Tampa game the other night, and I tried to record the DUCKS game vs. Preds last night, ALL WITH THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE: "This receiver is not authorized to record this program"
Now, DTV still has no idea what "i'm doing wrong". So, this leads me to believe FOX themselves might be preventing the recording in their steam. Anyone still experiencing this too? I'm ready to write letters and call whomever I need to fix this stupid issue.
Once again, I fipped the channel from hockey(694) to Lakers(692) and I WAS ABLE to record Basketball w/o a hitch. WTF!!!!!!!!!!
I hope a bunch of people are experiencing this issue and bitch so we can make a difference.
Thanks

I actually had the same problem. its not just you. for some reason it showed as me not subscribed to the FSN channels, they were greyed out. I had to manually input the number and go to the channel and sure enough it was there. So I told the reciever to view all channels and i just set it to record on the channel that was greyed out.
It worked fine doing that. I called them up about it and they were pretty much useless. I also complained about them removing G4tv as well, as I like watching Attack of the Show.
Ive never had a problem with DTV service or customer service before and now they are giving me grief. Hopefully it was just a bump and not future practice.

No problems here w/ TWC. :banasmoke:

Try rebooting the receiver. Unplug it for a couple minutes then plug it back in.

Rebooting the receiver or DVR usually solves problems. I've had no issues with DirecTV or my DVR.

This happened to a friend of mine for the Tampa Bay game.
