I use Dameware for remote access. My bro does support for an AFB and that's what they use.

We use TrackIT, we only have 2 IT people(myself and my boss). But my friend who works for a large regional hospital group says that their IT dept uses TrackIT too.

I slapped together a private corporate intranet based on wordpress, using buddypress for user management and a support ticket plugin for tracking IT issues. (*under 50 employees). Works great. It's mobile friendly, informal, and because it's wordpress (open source php/mysql) it's very flexible.

Might not be the best solution for large companies, but it suits my IT/user help needs just fine.

Not only is it great cross-platform, but we were able to set it up so we can direct anyone to download a version from our website that they can run on their machine, without installing anything, and give us remote access. This is great for helping out the in-laws when I'm at home, rather than trying to walk them through everything verbally.
