If she texts a lot you might want to have her check out the Samsung SCH-u740. I just got one last month and I really dig it. Full QWERTY keyboard and a very nice sized screen. My biggest complaint is the size of the keys they are on the small side.

The enV is definitely a great phone for texting. Two of my friends have that phone and text ALL the time. The only downside is that it is a bit big compared to some of the other phones. My brother just got the new Chocolate and I like that one. Nice design and good size.

I also just got the Samsung SCH-u740, Its smaller than then the enV, but has all the same stuff. I've been very happy so far. great for texting, and games- right now I'm huntin' white stag on Deer Hunter 2

When you reach your 2 year mark, are you allotted a certain amount of money to spend on a cell phone or can you pick whatever you want?

I upgraded to that phone and hated it. The keys were to small for me to see, I had the LG8600 before that and I liked that phone a lot. Anyhow, I called Verizon and explained the situation, and since I have another line on my account they gave me a heavy discount on another phone. I got the motorola Karzr in red instead for 25 dollars. I gave the Samsung to my daughter as she does a lot of text messaging and all worked out for the best.

I thought only teenagers and college students text.

The new Moto Razr 2 is coming in soon for $250 after rebate.
