iPAD and iPOD Touch Question

I have an iPOD Touch with a bunch of apps and music, I purchased an iPAD2 for my wife and she has not purchased any apps yet. Can I transfer all of my purchases to the iPAD2 and still keep and use the iPOD and the apps that I have already installed and paid for?

I do not want to loose any of my purchases that I have already made for my iPOD Touch.

if they were downloaded on your PC/MAC, you can sync the apps to other devices through iTunes. If you downloaded them directly to your iPod, you first need to transfer your purchases to your PC/MAC through iTunes, then sync to your other devices.

To transfer your downloads from your iPod to your PC/MAC, connect your iPod, Open iTunes, click on "File", then click on "Transfer purchses from 'Homer Simpson's iPod'"
