What are you going to use it for?
For me it would be a toy, so I'd get it from Apple and use free wi-fi.

I'm trying to hold out for the new version next spring.
I might get the next gen one for my mom if it has a front camera for face-time. She doesn't have the best eyesight so she has to look pretty close to her iphone 4g when she uses it.
I don't have any portable Apple products myself but the itouch finally has enough gigs for me to consider one.
