They are calling Apple's giant software activation disaster the iPocalypse. Lots and lots of people being sold the phone, told to go home ot complete the activation, only to find itunes or the phone reports and error.

I'm laughing at all these people who's lives revolve around thier phones who HAD to be the first with 2.0 and now have iBricks. People are missing work, throwing tantrums, the whole works. If you need your phone SO badly, why on EARTH would you EVER EVER EVER do an update as big as this in the first hours it is out?? You can be mad at Apple and ATT all you like, but they never FORCED you to do the update. Me? Yeah, I'll do it sometime next week when iPhone 2.0.1 is out

Hasn't ANYONE learned ANYTHING from updates over the years? iPhone updates? fail. Microsoft updates? fail. Playstation3 updates? fail. There's always a patch for a patch for a patch.

$10 extra compared to what? The old iPhone was $20 but all other 3g capable smartphones are at least $30 so it aint extra compared to all other pda/smartphones.

I has iPhone. No problems so far.

I put 2.0 on my 1st gen phone yesterday. Put a whole bunch of the free apps on the phone.

Few of my favorites are Google, AOL Radio, Midomi, and Weather Bug.

I couldn't get Remote to work, and haven't used Pandora yet.

I haven't bought any either. Maybe I will buy Super Monkey Ball later.

Any problems with availability? I was thinking of heading to Pasadena or Glendale this afternoon. I hear the AT&T stores aren't even worth bothering with (all sold out - limited inventory as it is).

Stay away from Pasadena. The line was insane.
