So get the iPhone4 or don't and just go with the older one? Meaning...is this something they're gonna fix (patch, software UD) or I'm just gonna have to deal with it?

I can't imagine law firms will let this slide. Apple AND AT&T know this. If it's a software fix (which I doubt) they'll address it. If it's hardware related, there will be a recall of some sort. They're probably weighing out options and most importantly, letting the dust settle after the sales frenzy to address it. Give it some time, it'll happen one way or another.
Ya, well I was sorta in the market for one...today ish....my Blackberry is a POS and I'm over it i wanted to get a new phone on order today. That's why I'm wondering if this is gonna be something drawn out...I'm gonna just go with the iP3, unless the 4 is Soooooooooooooo much better then...
Don't get the 3Gs, the iPhone 4 is much better in every way (unless you're making phone calls and not using a case). Apple gets a lot of press, good and bad. I love my apple products but yeah that is pretty stupid that they didn't think about this antenna issue before it's release.
My iPhne 4 is getting shipped to me today but I can tell you by using my friends phone with a cheapy $10 rubber case that it has no issues and he and his wife are in love with their phones.
My issue with Apple regarding the reception problem, is that they haven't offered to give their customers free cases for their iPhones.
I like my wallpaper a light color so I can use my lockscreen as a flashlight. I made this and thought I would share it here.
With the reception issue, and obvious design flaw, doesn't it kind of leave them open for fee-free contract terminations if one were to press it?
I'm still holding out for the white model. I have both AT&T and verizon and don't have a problem with either but I will be dropping verizon if they don't get the iphone.
