I jailbroke my last iPhone, installed some apps on it, set up ssh ("Check it out! I can ssh to my phone!"), it was... pointless. So I'll have fun not jailbreaking it and being good with it, thanks.

Actually, there's pretty much only one reason I'll be jailbreaking my iPhone4. 3G Unrestrictor. Since FailT&T doesn't allow us to use Facetime with their network, of course. I'm sure after the plethora of bitching by their customers and pressure by competition, they'll open the gates and I'll go back to "legit" mode.

I did the whole deal with ssh and the geek stuff, too. I even went as far as setting up up Apache on it... was fun, but not useful by any means. It's all pretty cool at first but gets pretty useless.

yea setting up ssh on your phone is pointless unless you are using it to control your computer at home or for business reasons. otherwise it is pointless.

hmmm I will try it when my incredible when I get it.

I use SSH to theme my iPhone and love it. Pointless, sure but makes the phone feel so much more customized since Apple won't let us officially do so. I also JB for many reasons like QuickreplySMS, 3G Unrestrictor, FREE tethering via wifi hot spot, Lockinfo, WiFi iTunes syncing, and a bunch of other things. Would switch to a Android in a heartbeat if it wasn't for some of those things.
