Verizon Wireless to Offer Apple iPhone in January - DailyFinance
The iPhone is a great device and all, but im not all about how Apple has almost complete control over anything that goes onto the device. With the new iOS4, you wont be able to jailbreak or any of that good stuff any more. Its only what Apple wants to do with it now.
On that note, im sticking with my HTC Incredible and will be sticking with Android for my next phone.
In other news, the new Android OS codenamed Gingerbread will be released in October 2010.
Verizon takes the fun out of everything. They have great phone service, but you can't jailbreak any of their phones. Oh well, I'm curious to see if their will be any new capabilities on the Verizon iPhone. If it's worth it, I could end up picking it up. The only thing that sucks is, I'll only be done with the first year of my Storm contract. I'm guessing if I try and buy the iPhone during my current contract, it will cost more than $500 (which is ****ing ridiculous for a phone.)
