my buddies connection got the phones at cost and apparently it's more profitable for him to unlock them, and set them up on T-Mobile (T-Mobile kick backs) I don't know the whole story really all I really know is that he can get me one for $300 .. hopefully. I'll see what I can do for you.

Well, I think your buddy is pulling your leg.

The phone has to activate with Apple. It has to get its updates from Apple. It doesn't work unless you let it talk to Apple. Do you think Apple is going to let people unlock the phone?

It doesn't JUST use a chip, the phone number is embedded in the phone as well (Tied to the phone serial number and on the board of the phone) so once its activated on that number, it can't easily be changed. You can't even do it at the phone store, you have to take it to the Apple store to change the number.

The Data Service is crap. If your not using the Wifi, the browser is slow as hell. The good news is that while my wife and I were driving through the neighborhood, it found lots of open WiFi networks.

The maps feature rocks, and although I hate the keyboard, I'll get used to it. Mail was Ok, I wouldn't draft a huge one, just quicky emails and text messages.

It needs more Widgets!

From what I heard on the radio today from discussion about the ToS not only is it locked but if you take it out of the country and roam for more than 2 months (or was it 4?) it will de-activate itself. I would think it would do the same thing if it finds itself on T-Mo.

There are so many better phones out there then the Iphone. Same thing as the Ipod.. but people want whats hot and in. The damn thing is not even running on 3g...sad.

It's funny a lot of people are raving about touch screen.. touch screen has been used for a while.. in fact the phones on the market with touch screens get bad marks cause of the touch screen. Oh wait but I bet Apple figured out a way to REVOLUTIONIZE that.. /sarcasm off. I know it has text prediction but so do other phones.
Sad really cause if you search for "Iphone reviews" you find a lot of fashion/trend websites doing the reviews.
It's ok I know many of you know that there are better smart phones out there, but this my opinion and I thought I would share it with everybody. You don't have listen, I am glad you have a new Iphone enjoy it

Well if you click on the link I included you will see that this is not true... and they are far from it sure it might look pretty but I'll take a technology over sexy any day of the week. Go ahead neg karma me, I really don't care.. go Kings right?
