What are you going to do when Apple eventually unveils a 2nd gen phone with bigger storage and running on a faster 3G network?

BTW, my friend has one and at first I didn't like it, but now I'm very anxious to see what the 2nd gens will be like...

who cares...I'll be more interested in what I will be doing with my 2nd gen phone

Probably do what just about everyone else does when better telecommunications equipment comes out. Do some research and if its worth it, buy it.

Of course, but shelling out 400-500 bucks for a phone that will barely make it a year is a tough pill to swallow...

Please, people will have no problem doing so. If the 2nd gen iPhone is something that I think is worth the investment I will glady buy a new one and sell my 1st gen iPhone on ebay.

you must be deep... I usually do atleast 3 months of research before any investment over 200 bucks...

Not really, I'm trying to pay off my credit card debt so I'm on a budget for the next 5 months...

The iPhone is no different from any other technology product. By the time it hits market, its replacement is already being tested. I feel sorry for anyone that thought otherwise.
