Sorry for my lack of participation. So far I've only got that one shot up. I thought I'd have more time, but we are getting ready to head to Hawaii for a family vacation. I won't be here for the end of this challenge or the start of the next one, but I'll try to get some more "glass" pictures up before I leave on Monday. If I get a chance I'll try to check in sometime around the 25th to see what the subject for the next challenge will be.

Great photos everyone, I've been really impressed!

Snap! Hand held reverse lens macro as in you are just holding the lens backwards up to the camera body? Very cool. I really like #1 of the new additions.

    --EDIT--
HOLLY CRAP!!! It works! That is awesome!

Yeah, pretty cool ain't it? I was messing with some old lenses that don't work on my D40X, trying to determine what the differences were, when through a series of experiments I accidentally "discovered" this. Spent some time today working with it, and finally went online to find that, alas, only a million people have done this before. It even has a Wikipedia entry.

Does anyone happen to know the refund policy on the U.S. Patent Office? It was going to be called "The Great PuckMonkey Macro H4x0r"

Yeah hand held, thanks to IS I like that sign and the excuse to take a pic of it was too hard to resist. I was doing some light streaking pics (here) a few days earlier and thought that might add a little flair to the neon pic.

Some great shots so far, this is amazing.

Wholly Schiott!!!! I never thought about doing that reverse-lens macro stuff. I'll have to try it when I get back home!!

That bunch definitely sticks with the theme that PuckMonkey has gone with...that being "WHOOPASS good!"

Okay, I've been really busy as of late, so I haven't jumped into the fray.... So I took the plunge tonight!

My first time shooting RAW too... fun stuff! Addictive!

    All shot with a tripod

    Dinner time

f/4.5, ISO 100, Rootbeer (cause all the real beer was gone), 4 sec. exposure time

    Curved drinking glasses

f/4.8, 0.8 sec exposure time, ISO 100, tweaked the white balance in PS-CS3

    LGK illumination 1

f/4.5, 1.6 sec., ISO 100, lit by two 15" laptop screens on LGK photo challenge 1 page, toshiba on the left, Dell on the right.... ambient lighting

    LGK illumination 2

f/22, 15 sec., ISO 100, laptop ambient illumination

    LGK illumination 3

nothing new here, f/4.5, 7.1 sec., ISO 100, LGK lights the way

    LGK illumination 4

f/5.6, 3 sec., ISO 100, and at this point I'm sick of the same glasses....

    "lots'o'glass"

my least favorite of the bunch, I was hoping for something a little more artsy... but eh. f/4.2, 30 sec, ISO 100, Olympus OM-2 Lenses, my Nikon 55-200mm, various glasses, lighting by lgk

Okay... that is my stuff. I'm happy for my first time getting into it... thanks again FBJ for setting this up! This is fun! I hope to keep learning! Let me know what you think, any tips, tricks, and advice would be appreciated.

Still have a lot to learn about photography, that's for sure. Guess I'm more of an outside, action, landscape type of guy. These inside set up shots are harder then they seem. Anyway, added some more. Hope to get better as time goes by. This is a great opportunity. Keep up the excellent work everyone!
