Thread: iTunes 7 Issue - Anyone have an older version??

I tried installing the new iTunes version 7. Upon installation, iTunes gave me a "Your audio configuration settings are incorrect" or something like that and just shuts the program down. I tried reinstalling iTunes, but it kept giving me the error. I uninstalled iTunes completely and I want to reinstall with an earlier version, like version 6 or something...

Anyone have the installation file for this? Anyone experienced this same problem? I'm running Windows XP and have never had a problem til now. F-ing Steve jobs!

Now, when iTunes does get up and running, it probably won't work with my iPod, right? What will I have to do?

Yes! Exactly that error! I uninstalled everything, all folders and files associated with iTunes and reinstalled the new version and it finally loaded. So, now I need to import all my music again and make it compatible with my iPod, or something. Not sure how this iPod/iTunes compatibility thing works.

At least the software is running as it should now.

If you have any "run-ins" with restoring your music library, or iPod issues, come back. Some of us have either run into the issue personally, or have come across some blurb about it elsewhere.
