I've only had iTunes for a year or so, so every song I have is stored in a seperate folder as well as being in my itunes library. Recently, some songs I have tried to play through itunes (and have played previously) come with a pop up saying that it couldn't be played because it couldn't be located and it ask me if i want to find it. I click yes and it opens the My Music folder commonly found on the start up menu, I don't save my music there so I go to where it is located and open it and than itunes plays it. Quite a pain in the butt and it is usually the same 10 or 15 songs. So I have 2 questions for this, how do I stop this and why would itunes have to "locate" the song? I assumed that once the song is in the library, it stays there. I don't know if this helps, but I download my music from a different source, where I send it to my seperate music folder and then send it to itunes. So I basically have an itunes library and a music folder that are almost identical.
