So I have a Solid State hard drive as the C: drive (O/S and programs) of my new PC, and a regular magnetic hard drive as the D: drive (my data).
The solid state drive is good for O/S and programs because they get written once (or at least very few times) and won't degrade the lifetime of the Flash memory therein.
But I'm worried about Internet-sourced & viewed video and audio content. That's a lot of data and (potentially) a lot of write cycles. How can I make sure that the 'cache' of video and audio gets put on the D: drive instead of the C: drive?
