    Looking to purchase a laptop. Any recommendations? What are your favorites?

    Under $1,000

    !4" screen, lightweight, 4GB

    *I didn't really like mac's (before, but now I do) I'll go either way, PC or mac.

    **Will be used for regular internet browsing, word, powerpoints, & excel.

    Yeah, you will have to be specific about what u plan to use it for.

    I will say tho that the new 13" MacBook w/Retina & SSD is fantastic.

    MacBook Air or a Dell XPS 13. Just depends on if you want to go Mac or PC.

    What are you going to use it for?

    Actually, if you want to take a kick at the can for less than $300, check out:

    Introducing the new Chromebook
    at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

    Just a vote against the Chrome book, I tried one for a couple of weeks and nearly ended up throwing it against a wall...It's great if all you want to do is surf the net, but to do anything serious go for a real laptop.

    I got the wife one of THESE
