you guys sound like microsoft fanboys. i've used windows all my life, but i just got sick of all the problems. i got tired of the blue screen of death and my computer telling me that i performed an illegal operation. i made the switch to mac recently and i'll never go back. my mac just works. there's nothing that i could do on my old pc that i can't do on my macbook pro.

I lied earlier when I said Macs weren't cutting edge in technology. The powerbook has bleeding edge hinge technology. Way better than any other laptop I've seen.

    Congratulations Apple.

Keep pimping your Mac; if you don't, you won't have enough style to carry that man-bag.

lol, gotta love the mac hate. I am still considering getting a mac next, but once i got a fairly decent anti-virus i havent really had any problems with my HP dv1000. I definitely have to get a better processor than the intel celeron because it takes my comp at least 5 mins to start up.

Your very misinformed. I've been in the IT business for well over 10 years now, and I know how to use, administrate, and have built more Windows computers than I can remember, so why did I decide to cross over?

Do you mean computer geeks or gamers?

No its not. I actually have a 5 button mouse plugged into this Mac, and right clicking works just fine!

In the end, this is an argument that neither side can win. You have those that say that those that are using Macs have an elitist mentality and have drank too much Jobs Koolaid, and those that can say that the Windows people have been brainwashed by Bill. My only comment is that you need to walk a mile in a mans shoes before you judge him.

Fanboy? I really couldn't care less either way. PCs work for me and just about every program is compatible. I just find it hilarious how everyone w/ a mac think they're better than pc users.

I tried to buy a Dell laptop.
I told the lady what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend...roundabout $1000.
    She came back with $1400.
I reminded her that she will, indeed, make a sale if she can get the price closer to what I want to spend.
    She didn't.
So I bought a refurb Powerbook on the Apple site that came with all the features I wanted standard and is lovely to look at, besides.
    It cost me $1099.
    I'm very happy with it.

the trick with Dell laptops(and computers) is searching for their codes. Essentially, you get a good rebate if you act quick enough, IE 400 bucks off a 1400 laptop. I usually search techbargains for these codes.
