My point is that if you're looking to brush up on your tech skills, you need to run a LAMP stack and learn to admin it.

I'd also focus on familiarizing yourself with a server configuration that utilizes VMWARE or any of the Open Source virtualization products, in our case we've chosen to utilize OpenVZ in production.
