    Default Looking for an inexpensive laptop

    I know some of you guys know where all the good deals are, so I am looking to purchase a laptop for under $500 bucks, and I am also looking for the biggest bang for my buck. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

    My girlfriends dad picked up a pretty decent Compaq at Best Buy for under 500.

    they have an AMD dual core Dell Inspiron build at Best Buy that was on sale for around $400. I just bought one for the in-laws.

    I recently bought a little netbook. After popping Ubuntu netbook remix on there, the little sucker flies. Sure it's not great but for $200, 7hrs of battery life seems like it was well worth it.
