Picked up a copy last, pretty bad ass so far. I havent found any cons yet. Just started playing around with it.

OK what are the major differences? Is there a learning curve similar to the switch from 9 to 10?
Nah. There are just a lot of new features that make things easier that you can pick up on.
Whenever Mr. Pogue gets around to releasing it, pick up his [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Mac-OS-Leopard-Missing-Manual/dp/059652952X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-0505885-7439919?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1193527428&sr=8-1"]Mac OS X Leopard: The Missing Manual[/ame]
His Missing Manuals are fantastic! They show you the NEW alternatives to tasks you did before the latest version, as well as brand new features. It's a great reference book to have around.
One gripe is the dock. There are little blue lights beneath applications when they're being used, and they're difficult to see if you have a light wallpaper.
I agree with Unfiltered; the Pogue books are great. I thoroughly enjoyed his Tiger book, so I'm sure the new book will be just as helpful.
I'm going to try this later.
EDIT: It didn't work for me. Still searching.
I tried this app Dock Delight, and it works.

% defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES
% killall Dock
I wrote that in terminal (sans %) and it is improved. It has a solid dot instead of a 3d dot.
