.Mac: if you travel a lot, this could come in handy. If you enjoy displaying photos and other media, consider it. There is a 30 day trial when you purchase a computer.

My girlfriend's last macbook needed the logic board and display both replaced over time, so the apple care was definitely worth it. If we didn't have it the repairs would have been well over a grand...
